A $10 non-refundable research fee is required to process any public records request. This fee is for researching/ locating a record and determining if it's releasable. Upon submitting your request, you may pay the fee by mail or by phone. Refer to the box on the right for further instructions

Everything in this request box will be displayed publicly if the agency makes your request public.

Please make sure that your request is as detailed as possible. The following information should be included if known:

  • Type of incident
  • Case number or CAD number if available
  • Type of record requested
    • Police Report
    • Computer-Aided Dispatch Record
    • Audio Recording
    • Photo CD
    • Records Check
  • Reason for request
  • Specific dates and times
  • Full names and dates of birth (if known)
  • Exact address or cross street/mileposts

Any public records request we process requires a $10 non-refundable research fee. That fee must be paid prior to the processing of your request. It can be paid by check through the mail, or by credit card over the phone at 541-682-3775.  Payment by credit card will incur a 3% bank service fee.

Once your request is received and the research fee is processed, we will contact you with further information, including additional fees and timelines. If you are requesting a statistical report, please contact our Police Records Unit by phone at 541-682-3775 to discuss prior to submitting an online request.

Our office cannot provide police reports for records that are currently active with the District Attorney's Office, the Medical Examiner's Office or that have yet to be adjudicated. We also cannot release many juvenile records, certain sexual assault reports or the records of any other agency.
